Vanilla Cupcake w/ Vanilla Buttercream

Equipment

  • 1 Kitchen Mixer

Ingredients
  

Cupcake Mix:

  • 125 g Butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essense
  • 2 each Eggs
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 100 mls Milk

Buttercream:

  • 200 g Butter
  • 400 g Icing Sugar
  • 30 mls Cream

Instructions
 

Cupcake:

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter. Then add sugar, vanilla essence and continue to whisk it into a nice silky paste.
  • Adding each egg, one at a time and continue to whisk until smooth.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Sift 1/3 of your dry mix and add 1/3 of you milk into your wet mix in alternating intervals and continue to whisk until silky smooth.
  • Fill up your cupcake liners to about 70-80% filled and bake it off for about 20 minutes at 180deg C.
  • Remove and let cool before frosting with your buttercream.

Buttercream:

  • Cream butter and essence until smooth.
  • Gradually whisk in icing sugar until intended stiffness, add cream if required to soften it.
