"The Mystery Box Challenge brought out incredible creativity in our team. The energy was electric, and we're still talking about it months later."
Cook three iconic Singaporean dishes in our professional studio after a guided wet market tour at Chinatown Complex. Four hours, small groups, hands-on from start to finish.
Singapore's food story begins in its wet markets, the same places locals have shopped for over a century. You'll start at Chinatown Complex with our chef, walking stalls of dried spices, fresh herbs, live seafood and traditional Nyonya kueh, meeting ingredients like belachan, gula melaka, candlenuts and daun kesum.
Then it's a short walk to our studio to cook three dishes from scratch: pounding rempah in a mortar, balancing a proper sambal, shaping ondeh-ondeh that bursts with palm sugar at first bite.
Finally, sit down with your group and eat what you made together. You'll leave with the recipes, an apron and skills you'll actually use back home.
All from scratch, all hands-on. Full bellies, recipes in hand, and a deeper appreciation for what's in that bowl of laksa.

The crown jewel of Peranakan comfort food: a coconut-rich, spice-laced broth over springy noodles, plump prawns and crisp beansprouts. You'll pound the rempah yourself, with a real mortar and pestle.

Juicy prawns wok-tossed in a sweet, smoky, spicy sambal that hits every note on the flavour wheel. The dish that vanishes first at every family dinner, and you'll know exactly why.

Pandan-scented glutinous rice balls with a molten gula melaka centre, rolled in freshly grated coconut. A Nyonya kueh classic that's wildly fun to shape and dangerously easy to keep eating.
Chinatown Complex isn't a tourist market, it's a working wet market where locals shop every morning. You'll spend about 35 to 40 minutes walking with our chef, stopping at five or six stalls we've built relationships with over the years.
Meet the spice trader behind every laksa rempah in Singapore, see live seafood scooped fresh from the tanks, taste traditional kueh before cooking your own, and learn what to look for when buying galangal, kaffir lime leaves and laksa leaf.
It's a five-minute walk from our studio, so you spend your morning cooking and tasting, not in transit.

Purpose-built for cooking: stainless steel kitchen islands on blonde wood, white-painted brick and warm pendant lights. Professional kitchen equipment, with space to cook side by side without feeling cramped.

After cooking, we move to the dining area: backlit wooden shelves and a long communal table where you'll eat what you've made with your group and our chef. Most guests say this is the part they remember best.
Plenty of places will teach you a recipe. We're built for a proper market walk, a proper kitchen, and dishes you'll actually recreate back home.
